What does a motorsport medical involve?

• Physical examination 

• Vision test 

• Hearing test 

We will also check your cardiovascular system, neurological function, respiratory and musculoskeletal systems to assess reflexes, coordination, balance and general mobility/physical condition.  

An Electrocardiogram (ECG) may be required for certain license grades or based on your medical history. 

A urine sample may also be necessary to screen for certain medical conditions.

What do I need to bring?

To ensure your motorsport medical assessment runs smoothly, please bring the following with you: 

• A valid form of photographic identification, such as your passport or driving license 

• The official medical examination form, which can be downloaded from the Motorsports UK website, with the personal details section completed 

• Spectacles or contact lenses (if applicable) 

• A list of all current medications you are taking, including dosages, and if possible, bring the medication packaging 

• If you have any significant past medical history or are currently under the care of a specialist, please bring any relevant medical reports or letters from your consultant 

• Your driving license for confirming your identity and date of birth
